wow! Atlanta

So often people think of Atlanta as not being at all "cultural", but that is about to change. As I watch the Olympics, I am reminded what a wonderful time it was here. We pulled it off in 1996. And we are going to pull it off again. Starting in November, we will have 2 of the most important, awe inspiring exhibits in Atlanta. Beginning November 16th - we will have the Terracotta soldiers from China at the High Museum of Art (through 4/19), AND the King Tut exhibit beginning November 15th. I hope this will prove to the naysayers that we really art a world class city. SO - come on down! we can't wait to see you!

MUSICAL COLLAGE

This isn't new, but I think I might go back to doing some musical collages. I have so much material, as my father rebuilt pianos and my grandfather was a piano tuner. I spent last week cleaning out my studio and I found my collage material is heavy in musical themes - and fashion! primarily shoes!

THIS IS WHAT I SPENT MY $600 ON. I AM SUBMITTING TO FESTIVALS!!!!

Yes - I have too much work sitting around and I need to get rid of it. While festivals are hard work getting ready, I think it will be worth it. I'm sure there will be boring times, but I'll just relax and people watch! Once we figured out how to get the tent up - it was easy. And the take down was easy too. The first time is by far the hardest! - because the roof stays on!!!!! I've submitted to Oakhurst, so that's a start. Plus it is only a one - day festival! A good start!
