WHO IS THIS BLOG FOR?

BLUE NOTE, mixed media on paper framed

In taking the on-line BLOG TRIAGE class offered by Cynthia Morris and Alyson Stanfield I find I am spending more time teaching myself how to set up the page instead of writing a compelling blog.
One of the basic assignments it to post who we are trying to reach on our blog. I have been thinking about this for days and as a result, I am falling behind in class. I have got to learn I have to sit down and actually post on the blog instead of keeping everything in my head.
Who do I want to reach? You of course. For one thing, I want to reach other artists. Artists I can network with and share work with. I want to find compelling venues for my artwork. I also want to reach people that are interested in art and will leave compelling comments about my work and share their work, or artwork they find interesting and/or similar to mine.

Vicki,

I enjoy your blog, and your way of sharing with us-your readers. As an artist myself I am most interested in sharing, dialoguing about materials, and art resources like film, books, you get it.

So, your "Blue Note" really caught my eye because I love Jazz, and here in NYC we have a Jazz club called the Blue Note!

Let's continue our conversation, and well, it's terrific having you as a blog mate as well.

fondly, Magdalena Adrian

Thank you Magdalena! I walked by the Blue Note last time I was in New York! I keep thinking this piece belongs in a jazz club or music club somewhere! I enjoy reading your posts!

Hi Vickie,

You're off to a great start with your blog! I loved seeing your work in person at May-retta Days. The textures are incredible.

Don't forget the deadline for submissions to the AAC's 6th National Juried show is June 1 (postmarked date). I am determined to submit something and you definitely should ;)

Thanks! It was good to actually meet you in person! and I'll figure out what to submit to the national show - goodness knows I have enough "stuff". Do you know who the judge is?

Thank you Connie! I finally realized I'm a very tactile person and started incorporating textures into my work. Thanks for stopping by
